Three Day Staff Capacity Building & Motivational Programme at Tirukadaiyur (June 12–14, 2026)
Valar 2010 Mutual Benefit Trust, an institution dedicated to community development and financial inclusion, organised a three day Staff Refresher and Motivational Programme from June 12th to 14th, 2026 at Tirukadaiyur, Nagapattinam. The programme strengthened staff capacity, enhanced field level effectiveness, and reinforced the Trust’s commitment to serving women, families, and vulnerable communities.
Day 1 – Strengthening Marketing & Team Collaboration
The first day focused on improving staff understanding of marketing principles, performance management, and team building. The Managing Director facilitated the sessions, highlighting the importance of strong customer relationships, brand identity, and effective communication in community based financial services. Participants learned key marketing concepts such as the Four Pillars of Marketing, Customer Transaction Analysis, SPANCO Sales Model, and the Wheel of Selling. Group activities and presentations encouraged active participation and peer learning.
A detailed session on Loan Against Property (LAP) helped staff understand customer identification, eligibility checks, legal processes, and valuation. HR discussed recruitment, training, and retention strategies, emphasizing the role of managers in guiding field staff and ensuring organisational stability.
Day 2 – Operational Excellence & Field Strengthening
The second day focused on strengthening operational systems and field practices. Divisional Manager delivered a comprehensive session on Joint Liability Group (JLG) methodology, covering group formation, loan processing, disbursement, collection, and record maintenance. He stressed disciplined field practices and maintaining 100% collection efficiency. Area Manager explained Business Loans and Individual Loans, highlighting opportunities for livelihood enhancement and portfolio growth. Branch Manager shared inspiring stories of women and families whose lives improved through the Trust’s financial support—reflecting the organisation’s mission of empowerment. A demonstration of the new MYCO mobile application showcased features that enhance monitoring, accountability, and real time reporting. The Internal Auditor addressed common operational gaps and reinforced adherence to policies and procedures. CAO presented insights on MIS, accounts management, and sector trends relevant to the Trust’s operational areas.
Day 3 – Celebration, Recognition & Motivation
The final day began with a prayer service and the ceremonial lighting of the Kuthu Vilakku to celebrate the Managing Director’s birthday. A colourful cultural programme brought together staff from various branches, featuring traditional dances, Kummi Attam, songs, poetry recitations, and humorous performances—strengthening unity and team spirit. Outstanding performers in attendance, collection efficiency, disbursement, portfolio quality, and branch performance were honoured with gifts and appreciation. In his concluding message, the Managing Director encouraged staff to continue serving communities with sincerity, discipline, and compassion, reaffirming the Trust’s mission of uplifting women and families through inclusive financial services.
The three day programme enriched staff knowledge, strengthened field capacity, and renewed collective commitment to the Trust’s vision of community empowerment and sustainable development.
